Kinda busy right now, I'd planned to have my beta back to bellatemple back today but it didn't quite work out - you will have it as soon as possible honey! (If I can convince sis to let me use her laptop then it'll be tomorrow, otherwise it might be Thursday afternoon.)

And then I have writing of my own to do... as well as doing a massive spring clean (yeah, I know it's summer) and gardening (which is fun with a dodgy elbow and hayfever...). So I may be a tad bit more absent than normal over the next week or so. Please link me to anything and everything I should be seeing?

Oh. And anyone wanna buy a house? Two bedroom, semi-bungalow, GCH, double-glazed, recently decorated. I want it shifted so I'll take pretty much anything close to market value...

(I'm not registered with an NHS dentist, none in the area are taking on new patients, and I can't afford to pay for dental treatment.)

Eating lunch earlier (an omlette for crying out loud...) the pain hit so bad I thumped the table and broke the plate. (Yeah, that may also explain why I keep buggering up my hand as well...) I honestly don't know how long I can put up with it.

Ow.

Anyways, I know I haven't posted anything about the London weekend two weeks ago (dude, TWO WEEKS!! How did that happen?!) it's because my poor old computer is getting old and cantakerous and is having 'issues' transferring pictures from my camera. *pets computer* It was an awesome time, not just because Steve, Rosalee and Darren were awesome as always, but because I got to spend time with friends in person - I didn't realise how much I'd missed that until I got home and realised that for a week the only people I spoke to were shop assistants and library staff. I will post about it and share pics soon - promise!

But never mind, the real reason for posting right now, and for posting with the icon which might seem a tad odd until this: I'm going to VAMPIRE BALL! Yay! (Or at least, I've just put an order in and am waiting for confirmation... *starts worrying*). It feels like forever since I was at a con as an attendee not staff! (Don't get me wrong - I LOVE working at cons, but at the last two Asylum's I saw a total of two panels.)

I don't know if I'm going to be working at Asylum this year, I have emailed Wayne about it but apart from a question over Easter weekend I haven't heard back. I'm disappointed because I had a lot of fun working with the Rogue crew (I know some of you have issues with the way the cons are run, but they're good folks and really do try to make things as smooth as possible - plus, you have to admit it gets better every time) ad thought I did a good job for them but... there's still time, Wayne's a busy little really-quite-tall bee and there's still a month to go so...

Right, since I forgot to bring my pen drive with me to the library (sorry Cat, got your message about the landscape thing but don't have any relevant stock, it'll be Tuesday before I can get you a second draft) and the sun is splitting the trees out there, I'm going to go and try to avoid the funeral at the bowling green across from my house. :)

This weekend's the Calcutta Cup game in rugby so (if I can get my phone to re-connect it) I apologise for the spammign of Twitter that will be going on...

I know I've not been commenting lately and I've been more often absent than I am posting, but I'm still kicking around, never fear.

I feel terrible that I'm not reading much fic at the moment (waddis - you have your own folder on my desktop at home in which I put all the chapters of Jack Sparrow that I've still to read - I will be catching up after November, and hey, maybe I'll even start commenting!) - I plan to go back and read the lot. I'm just trying to get through this month without chocolate covered coffee beans and without killing anyone. :)

Despite the broken wrist, I want to photoshop as well - I've signed up for an icon challenge which has awesome prompts, but I'm finding it tough to get the inspiration. It'll come, but it's annoying to keep opening and shutting that damn PS7 programme. Especially since my computer's not as young as it once was and it takes longer and longer to run a programme that's a big a memory hog as that one is. (And if Photoshop takes a long time, don't even get me started on how long it takes Premier Pro to kick in!)

I'm about four or five eps behind on most of my shows and although I do miss them, I'm not so antsy about them as I was this time last year. *shrugs* maybe it's 'cause there's so many other things going on.

And finally, and most randomly, in this random post of randomosity, I just have this to say:

News from the front - it's cold. Very, very, very cold. *g* I know, that's not exactly news but... okay, so the news is: I broke my desk chair. Which sucks. It was getting past it but still, it was a good chair... I'm a little sad that it's gone now, and dining chairs just aren't the same. And I'm now a red head. *grins some more*

Also? I made art. kitty_cat89 and smeckles90? pour vous And (also anyone else who likes it/them!) There are 233 Lazarus Rising icons there, as well as a special wallpaper for my girls to celebrate the end of their exams. *hugs them*

Okey dokey, so here's what's been going on. Sis is starting up a new business venture - running children's parties - and she had two this weekend. Funnily enough, when she has work to do then it means I also have work to do. Because I'm a glutton for punishment apparently!

So this weekend past was really busy, and I spent a while trying to get the problems with the awards sites sorted without access to t'internet. It wasn't easy. (The 3 phone network seemed to be down all weekend, it's what Sis is on and the library doesn't open on Sundays, basically I was scuppered.) It looks as though they're sorted now - certainly the tests I ran yesterday were fine, but I've not gotten any nominations at all.

Has anyone sent anything in since yesterday? If so, can you let me know?

NaNoWriMo started on Saturday and I was... screwed. Too busy with other things to get started, so already I'm running behind, but really I'm not worried about it - I'm fine. The story's coming and already the characters are taking over and dictating what they want to do. I have a filter set up for people who want to follow my flailing - if you want to be added to that filter leave me a comment here - and I've now started posting the story to a new community set up for just that. madnesscalling. Feel free to come over and join/watch/comment. Keeping in mind that it's really rough and ready and will be betad eventually!
